Happy New Year! In 2024 we're embarking on some new and exciting endeavors. We'll be hosting four global educational conferences for entrepreneurs - one each quarter. Our first is VC APAX, March 25-28th. Then we'll be heading to the Middle East & Africa in the second quarter - most likely we'll be onsite in Tel Aviv, Israel as well as virtual. Then it's VC LatinX in the 3rd quarter, and VC EuropeX in the 4th quarter.
We're also continuing to build online courses - and will do at least 40 new courses this year, adding to our course catalog of Leadership, Strategy, Process & Operations, Marketing & Sales, Soft Skills, plus several new courses in the Health & Wellness area. We're also starting up a new company, so that's very exciting.
We'll be creating online training courses in virtual reality/3D - in fact, we'll be launching SMB's Academy in the Metaverse with a series of 2 and 4-hour Masterclasses where you can attend in our virtual reality movie theatre where the instructor teaches their class in their digital persona/avatar. We're working hard with Meta on developing our app. You can either wear your own ocular device to participate - or - join us on our ZOOM bridge which allows those without an ocular device to watch the 3D training.
We're also launching our virtual school, providing reading and math literacy instruction to kids all over the world - in 3D - as a game, making it a fun learning experience. Think 3D princesses reading stories in their castles and playing games with the kids...fun!
We're also supporting the maternal and child health initiatives, focusing on providing prenatal and postpartum education for mothers and infants all over the world - and because our courses are online - they can be accessed from the most remote parts of the world, including Africa, where maternal and child health issues are significant according to the WHO.
We're also bringing life skills education to teenagers - skills like problem solving, goal setting, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, empathy, conflict resolution and more - yes, practical life skills to help our kids. Because it's not just about the elementary school aged children not reading or doing math at grade level - yes, that's a huge problem that we are addressing, but it's about adolescents and their challenges and providing them with skills that can help them navigate those adolescent and young adult years.
And we're embarking on another segment of the marketplace, teaching about seniors and the elderly - about death and dying with dignity. That's another taboo topic not spoken about often, and it's an emotional rollercoaster on the senior, and their families, who must care for them. There's much to learn and we have experts who will develop courses on topics like caregiver care, how to arrange for help, what hospice is all about, what to expect as your loved one's life ebbs away, and how to ensure they die with dignity.
We're addressing online education from pregnancy through the end-stage of life. We call this 'cradle-to-grave' education, and SMB has plans to build curriculum addressing the information needs of all these communities. This is where we'll have an impact. Where we can do our part to make the world a better place. Because, as Michelle Obama tells us, "It's not about how much money you make. It's about the difference you make in people's lives".
